Old news: The book sale was a success. While the fiction books far out numbered the non-fiction books, it was the non-fiction section that was nearly sold out in the end. YEA! The books left went to other ministries and Salvation Army stores. Thank you for your support.
We are adding a few new books to the collection especially in apologetics and the Book of Luke to go along with the in-depth study Pastor Randy is doing on Sunday mornings.
Be blessed as you live and love like Jesus this week.

Annual Book Sale
We are preparing for the annual book sale in the library. Looking for materials that have never been checked out has been a bit sad because there have been so many unused. But these books will be on the For Sale tables and if one person buys and reads the book it's better than if the book is never read. So, see you at the sale March 7 and 10. Good buying and reading.

New Reading Materials
For all you readers of fiction, we have added several titles this week.
Series: ( a few of the 11)
Hunter, Big Sky Romance, Accidental Bride Vol. 2
Kendig, Discarded Heores, Firethorn Vol. 4
Kingsbury, Bailey Flanigan, Longing Vol. 3
Parsons, Darkness to Light, His Steadfast Love Vol. 4
Thoene, A.D. Chronicles, Twelfth Prophecy Vol. 12
Other new offerings:
What Does the Bible Say About...
Kid's Bible Handbook
Kid's Guide to God's Creation
These three are probably my favorites of all the new materials. The "Kid's" books offer the answers to the Who, What, Where, When, and Why questions presented in a format that is engaging to young people (and adults) with colorful illustrations. ENJOY

New Books on Parenting Teen Sons
I don't have sons but I have grandsons and I'm 'in school' learning about them all the time.
We have two new books in the library on parenting teenage sons and they are both great reads.
That's My Teenage Son by Rick Johnson helps moms learn how to influence their boys to become men of character during these potentially tumultuous times.
What A Son Needs From His Dad by Michael A. O'Donnell speaks to fathers about how to prepare their sons for life by instilling character and strong spiritual values, developing responsible work and money habits, encouraging good friendships, and dialoguing about sexuality and preparation for marriage.

Living Faith @ Home
Our busy lives are full, oftentimes to overflowing. The first 12 weeks of school are past, the year is nearing the end, and the holidays are upon us.
With all the reading and DVD viewing we do these days, we have opportunities to gather a lot of information. Then, what do we do with all that good information? Several weeks ago Pastor Randy said, "It's not for lack of information, but lack of application." That has really stuck with me and I've been seeking ways to apply what I gather.
In the library, we've been adding to the Junior Advanced section to help the kids read on their own along the lines of the course work in CM's girl's class. The Lily Series, which is popular fiction, now has a non-fiction companion book that helps girls learn to apply what they're reading and studying. We've added all the Lily Companion books except The Body Book which is currently out-of-stock.
To help parents build faith into the family, the Faith@Home section is marked with a lime green tape marked F@H at the top of the spine and is usually shelved on the small bookcase facing the main entrance, though for now it's on the ledge above the magazines.
